This mixed use plan proposed a balance of: boutique village commercial, office, multi-family and a variety of traditional residential development and supporting recreational amenities within the rural town of Peoria. The community was experiencing unprecedented growth and The Galloway Group wanted to prepare a plan that would retain the downtown feel of the area while accommodating an intensity of growth in conjunction with balance of land uses that would justify the major infrastructure improvements that had delayed development within the central part of town. The plan, prepared for Great Western Homes, proposed courtyard homes and alley-loaded cottages in a traditional layout including a large central green to serve the recreational needs of future residents while providing a suitable buffer to the adjacent commercial component of the plan.
